The third most popular trekking route in Nepal is the Langtang trekking route. Lord Shiva is worshipped as Pashupati, which means Lord of all living creatures. The temple of Pashupatinath is 6 Km east of Kathmandu. Pasupat-Chhetra (site of Pashupatinath) is one of the holiest places in Hindu Kingdom of Nepal. Many Hindu pilgrims come to Pashupatinath throughout the year. Hundreds of thousands of Hindu from all over the World make Pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri (Night of Shiva, one day before black moon in February). There are many temples of various Hindu Gods and Goddess in the holy site. Guheswori temple is the most important among other temples. A walk from this temple to Aryaghat near Pashupatinath temple is very popular among non-Hindu tourists. Pashupatinath Temple area is UNESCO World Heritage site.

Changu Narayan

Another of the most visited pilgrims in Nepal is ChanguNarayan which is situated in Bhaktapur area. The temple is a piece of art which is built in pagoda style. From the temple there are good views of the Kathmandu valley in three directions. The temple is dedicated to Narayan, who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It has many old outstanding stone, wood, and metal carvings dating from the Lichhavai period. ChanguNarayan Temple is listed in the UNESCO world heritage.

Lumbini

Lumbini is the place where Buddha was born as the Prince Siddhartha Gautam. The site is in now in a beautiful Garden. Lumbini lies in the mid western part of Nepal. Maya Devi Temple, Archeological excavation sites, various Buddhist temples and monasteries from Buddhist countries from all over worlds are in the Lumbini. From early morning to early evening, pilgrims from various countries perform chanting and meditation at the Maya Devi. Lumbini, as of 1997, is an UNESCO World Heritage Site specifically nominated for the international World Heritage program.

Basantapur (Kathmandu)

Patan

Patan is situated few kilometers from Kathmandu city. And is a main tourist attraction.
